FYI: that is not a CHP first aid kit, but the bracket is.
If you look at his completed listings, he had a chp kit and bracket, it sold for over double what these generic kits brought

I confirm, that is NOT a CHP first aid kit.

It is a CHP bracket. Or manufactured to look like one.
They are easy to build.

Default NOT CHP items

I make a correction, there is nothing about either one of those 2 items that is CHP.
Take a good look at the bracket. The lower sides have been bent as one long piece instead of tack welded individual pieces.
Also the top of the clip where the bungee cord attaches has a tip welded onto it.
CHP did not make them like that. It was a cut out of the same piece of metal. Not a welded round piece.

It's all fabricated to look like. Not CHP original anything.

Those brackets are not repops. The guy goes to the scrap place when the CHP drop off their stuff. You can see how the first one is bent, most have chips, and you can see where the paint was chipped off from a bolt being screwed down.

Just checked the original-to-car bracket in my dads 06 Crown. It's the lay down, and is the same as the one on ebay.

And you have to beware, these brackets are all slightly different when it comes to the holes. I've tried multiple lay down brackets in my Mustang, none have lined up to the original holes. They'd just mock the bracket in the car, mark holes, and screw the bolts into the body.

Here's the seller's response to being told the first aid kit is not chp equipment lol

Well I can tell you this was 100% removed from a chp vehicle along with the bracket as I have a lot of there equipment. The brackets were made in two different styles. The first aid kits have been replaced through out the years but have been two different sizes the upright like this one and if you put this on its side that is the other style and length along with a different bracket.

So... I myself have not seen a welded bracket like that one either.
CHP had both stand up and lay down first aid kits. All depends on who installed them I believe. I've seen both, driven vehicles that had both.
BUT THAT first aid kit on ebay is not CHP

I have NEVER seen markings like that one, even current day.
We were all over CHP units at the academy last weekend and I never saw a first aid kit with those type of markings.
I have never seen a first aid kit bracket with that type of welded tip either.
They were cut from the original metal fabbed for the bracket, they didn't weld a round piece of metal to that vertical piece as a catch. It was cut from that piece of metal.

I'll post pictures tomorrow for those that want to see what I mean.
