Ugh, sorry but the continued high gas prices and committment to three other long distance events have forced this late comer off my calendar for this year. Luckily there is another more local show for us to attend that weekend. Maybe next year!

Turns out the local show was going to be rained out so we headed a bit south after all for the "WarBirds, Wings & Wheels" show at the Estrella WarBird Musuem in Paso Robles where my car was back to chasing Porsches for a living.
Just a couple of other EV types there this year: Hand cranked...gotta love it! That ambo is in really original shape including all the equipment inside and the owner is an ex-Chippie to boot! |

Got parked with a Bronco, but it was the OV-10A US Marine version and not the Ford one:
Viva old Ford trucks: And Mercs too: |

Thanks for the pictures Michael! I like that old tow truck and Mercury wagon. It looks like it was a great show...

Cool pics...my first vehicle was a '72 Ford pickup.
Thanks for posting them up.

Yep, I always admired the lines of the '70s Ford trucks.
There was a few real nice ones of that era from the General there too: |

I wish I would have know about that show, I'd have checked it out..... Did they have a tribute to Obbie Atkinson? My partner and I tried so hard to keep him holding on in that plane, one of the worst calls of my career.

Sorry no, if there were any tributes there I didn't see them. A CHP air unit that I think is based at Paso did do a flyover and the pilots came by to check my car out later after they landed and were off duty. They both drove Mustangs before moving to air ops and they really enjoyed seeing mine. |
