They did say gov on them, we'll I guess I'm stuck with government for now.

GOVT like the FBI car above, correct?

The only real way to find out, in a case like yours, is to get lucky and have some type of paperwork with the car. You can try to research past owners, and possibly make contact with one, and you might be able to track it back that way. Someone, somewhere purchased the car at auction and might know what agency it was with.

You think a carfax would tell me more info also When I was shopping for my notch I was looking for a nice clean one I found this one and later I found out about it being a ssp so my? Is are these car hard to find? Just want to know what I have.

Carfax might show where it was first registered, after it came out of service...but that might not be necessarily the same state it was sold in.

I'd start by trying to locate the prior owners.

for mine the carfax says build date and when the first owner owned it nothing in between 10/92 till 5/1999

You will probably want to order a Marti Report on your car to confirm the options:

https://www.martiauto.com/reports2.cfm


The Deluxe report will also include the name of the ordering dealer, and list add'l information.
