I agree with everything Mike said.....I own both a post and drive on lift....my drive on lift is an Autolifter and it is EXCELLENT...however I was one of the lucky ones to actually receive it before they went under....they went out of business 3 months after I received it. They were competing with the offshore companies for price and that's what put them out. I paid $3300 delivered for my drive on which is CHEAP...a comparable lift in quality to this would be over $6K and this one is worth that. My 2 post lift is an AMMCO brand and also excellent...it is a commercial lift. If you had to pick one then as stated above go with a 2 post lift. I also recommend getting the one with the clear floor....trust me, it is aggravating rolling a transmission jack over the plate that covers the chain or cable. My first lift was that style and then I upgraded to this one. I think I paid $3K for my 2 post 5 years ago.

The drive on lift has it's advantages like setting pinion angle and exhaust work but the 2 post lift is used probably 50 to 1 in my shop over the drive on lift.

Both of my lifts have been trouble free so far....stay FAR away from the chinese lifts....after all, it's your life when you are under it!
