Up for auction is a very nice ex-highway patrol Ford Mustang. This is the LX model Mustang with the police interceptor package, 5.0 Liter High Output V8 and a 5 speed manual transmission. This car used to belong to the Utah State Police. This is a very nice car, very solid and straight, and very fast. The only area of concern on this car is the driver's rear quarter panel. There is a small area of rust forming along the bottom lip. The rest of the car including the bottoms of the doors and the rocker panels is very solid. This car still has the blue strobe lights mounted front and rear, the flip down map light at the front of the headliner, and the shotgun bag in the back seat. This car runs and drives extremely well and is very fast and sure-footed, even on the windy mountain roads here in North Carolina. There is a tear in the upholstery on the drivers seat (see photo) but other than that the interior is in great shape. These police interceptor Mustangs are popular cars, probably because there is no real need for expensive upgrades to have a very fast Fox body.
