Do you pull a car on that trailer with a Ford Ranger?

Sure... You have to stay on top of your gearing and run at the hills and it's not
something you want to do ALL the time with a 4.0 your car is lookin good |

Yes, nice trailer... I imagine with a lite trailer like that you can tow a lot of stuff with a Ranger...
Back home to Idaho! Hope you had a safe trip. Matt

so if your 4.0 will do it will my Ford FreeStar minivan with a 4.2 do it? Its rated to tow up to 3500 lbs..whats your Ranger rated to tow up to?

The Ranger Edge has a higher tow capacity then the standard Ranger (and i am
exceeding the TOW rating of the truck) but common sense has to be applied to this set up.If i had a BIG boat i towed to the lake every weekend or was hauling cars every weekend i would get a bigger truck. for now this works for an occasional pull. additionally the Trailer is set up with electric brakes and the truck has large tires so it's not a control problem. the only problem is power and i adjust that with gearing. also................thanks Matt all went great!! good to see the black n white in the garage!! will have decals on soon.....soon as i take care of the yard work around here!!! |
