REPAIRS MADE
Just sharing my good news.....had some stuff done to my '93 Texas car this past week.
For over a year now I've had a rear main oil seal leak, common for the vehicle's age and inactivity. So, I had that repaired. I had the cruise control fixed. A bolt that holds the cable on had come off and needed replacing. New fuel filter (Easy fix, I know but I tried it myself a long time ago and had a bad experience - I smelled like gasoline for several days...don't ask) and they checked the pilot bearing which was found to be in good shape. Also, a new alignment so I wouldn't be wearing the front tires prematurely anymore. Front end bushings and upper control arms were in good shape. Work was done by Tipton Ford-Lincoln-Mercury in Nacogdoches, Texas. Those boys always treat me well there. Mechanic there has been a Ford mechanic for 23 years. It said it was a pleasure to have worked on a vehicle that was "less complicated" than the vehicles of today. And I was told that several guys argued over who would perform the test drive when the work was done. I think the car had three test drives to make sure it was right. Everyone took a turn because they all wanted to drive an old police Mustang. Mustang now rides like she's on real-time air! Simply perfect! She's running just a tad warm and may be in need of a thermostat or a radiator flush or both. Maybe a fresh oil change and a new state inspection and she'll be 100% again.

That's cool! It sure is nice when you get some of the "little" things taken care of isn't it?
