A point of clarification is needed here - the commonly referred to "Santa Clara" unmarked SSPs were indeed owned by Santa Clara County but they were used by investigators in the District Attorney office and were
not SO units. All the the Mustangs used by the Sheriff in that county were marked traffic units like the one pictured below:
