My first car when I was 16 was a 1966 red w/black vinyl top Mustang auto with a 289 V8. My daily driver through high school and away at college. It was a natural affinity to be driving a Mustang and to see the Missouri State Highway Patrol SSP Mustang's prowling the roads
. Even drove it daily to my first job for a few months, until I purchased my first new car...a 1996 laser red Mustang auto with a V6.
Sold the 1966 one after about 14 years of ownership (and after buying a 1969 Champagne Gold Mach I) and later traded the 1996 in for an Explorer.
