If you go to the VIN Project you will see the batches in 1983 (50) and 1984 (118) that TXDPS have been found in. For the batch in '83 the first 26 went to GA and the last 24 went to TX. For the batch in '84 they all went to TX.
These titles were supposedly marked as "junked", according to the TX DMV Title Check web page:
