Default 1992 NC SSP (AOD) for sale

After having a few debates I'm putting my 1992 SSP AOD up for sale. The vehicle served as the Chief of Police's vehicle in Stem, NC. This vehicle formerly belonged to another member on the site before someone purchased it from him. I purchased the vehicle this winter and have spent a ton of energy and time on it. The vehicle comes with full documentation of all parts and work done to it along with the orginial radar gun, back window lights, the wiring and strobes for the front lights and some of the radio equipment. I also have the business card from the Chief who drove the vehicle and he doesn't mind being contacted about it's service. I don't want to pull the original engine, so I'm going to find another 5.0 to work on, I don't want to change this vehicle and have it lost for other collectors.

I'm going to post pics of it later today/tomorrow and I encourage you to contact me at mtippett@me.com and we can trade phone numbers to talk about it. I'm asking $10,000 OBO and am willing to work on the price.

Prior to me purchasing this vehicle the following were complete:

-Interior carpet and upholstery were replaced with new
-Vehicle was re-painted (it's a 7 out of 10)
-Dynomax exhust system was added
-Clear headlights were added

The work that I have completed (all parts came from PPI and are OEM with a few exceptions):

-New oil cooler lines (ones on it were rotting)
-New oil cooler gasket
-New BBK 65mm throttle body (old one was crap and hung real bad)
-New radiator mounts
-Pulled engine and replaced rear main seal
-New steering rack
-New Maximum motorsports steering shaft (orginial was shot)
-Transmission dropped and serviced
-Rear diff opened and serviced
-All fluid flushed and changed
-New overflow sensor and bottle
-New clutch fan
-New correct battery
-New battery terminals
-New Ford Racing shocks and struts
-New parking brake lines in place and working
-Installed new exhaust hangars as they were missing
-New interior handle bezels
-New Ford correct headlights
-New electric mirror switch
-New transmission bushings
-Recently purchased four 10 holes wheels that are a 9 out of 10 (not installed on car at this time) and I have the center caps
-Spare 10 hole with tire

Not installed but comes with vehicle:

-New door handles
-New LT/RT button clusters/bezels
-New 10 holes (5)
-New seatbelt sleeves (RT and LT)
-Maximum Motosrpots strut tower brace
-MM sway bar

What needs work:

-Fuel gauge doesn't read correctly, need to drop gas tank and check fuel pump/float
-The front panels don't line up , they are off by a little bit (.25), they are not bent, just need to be re-aligned, the person who did it before I had it didn't line them up
-There is a small dent underneath the drivers side door
-Side molding still looks decent but should be replaced to get it back to 100%
-It has this radio that is a DVD/CD/MP3 unit that is installed - I don't like it and I didnt put it in the vehicle, it's a good unit. (wanted to return it to stock)

That's all I can think of for now. Please shoot me an email with your number and I'll get back to you when I get off of work. I'm going to post pics up tonight/tomorrow evening depending on the weather. I have all of the pics from the orginial restoration of the vehicle along with the 5.0 Mustang Mag atticle that the vehicle was featured in a few years ago. Overall I would say she is a solid 7 on the 10 scale and I encourage anyone to come take a look at it. This is mustang number seven for me and I want it to go to someone who will take good care of her.

Thanks for looking,

Mark
