Just recently i was put in contact with a retired Colorado State Trooper
that has been a great help with my 88 CSP ..The other day as we chat on the phone he spoke of his old unit #426 that he drove while in service ...
He had no idea what happened to it when retired , his station then gave him a Camaro that he said was NO fun to drive ...lol as compared to his old 5spd light weight mustang ...
Last night as i looked at all the documents that came with my CSP , i came across a CO auction sheet that came with my car ... but not related to my ssp.. it is from a 1992 auction , my car sold in 91 ? as far as i know .
here is the good part ,as i go down this auction sheet looking at the unit #'s
holly crap !!! i see his old unit #426 . WOW!
I went to work extra early and ran a CarFax on all the CSP Mustangs to see where his old unit went, and BAM there it was , It lives in Arizona , and has failed emissions since 06 ???
I called my contact shortly after my discovery , the sound of his voice was priceless !! he sounded like a young kid with a new toy !!!! i quickly scanned all info and emailed him .. He will now see what he can find from here .
I think this story is kinda backwards of how the trooper stories go ! they usually help guys like us land info , this time a very helpful ex trooper may just land his old ssp with info i didn't know i had till last night .
It is because of this great man that we have a special invite to the CSP Anniv event in sept .....Thanks Ron !!!
I hope he get's his Toy back !!
