Default Valve Stem Check

While in Arizona this last week I made a Day Trip to the Northern
part of the state about a two hundred mile trip. The next day i noticed
that one of my tires was low? I aired up the tires and checked them and
a few days later i noticed the same tire was low? so i jacked up the Truck
and spun the tire looking for the screw or what ever? finding nothing wrong i
started examining the valve stem and to my surprise it was leaking
All the valve stems had turned into the rim and were all cracked..
these were all new Valve stems because i had replaced ALL of them
when i had the new wheels mounted about Three years ago. I had a friend
at the local tire shop replace ALL the bad Rubber valve stems with steel ones
and he said it probably was a bad batch a Rubber stems? never have i had
this happen and was sure glad to find this out before the 930 mile trip North
most road signs out here say something like Next services 125 Miles.
You can drive for an hour before you see another car or truck
this is about 60 miles from Wells Nevada No cell service just you and
your new tire Valve stems.
