Did you notice the common theme through all the stories? These boys were hammering these cars like there was no tomorrow. What a testament to the toughness of these, at that time, "Throw Away" cars.

We are all lucky that as many as there are are left today for us to enjoy.

Also, take note of the trooper's observations that is just as true today - don't overdrive the brakes folks!
