1993 Mustang LX Coupe SSP #119 Georgia State Patrol, DSO POLICE buck tags present on core support

112k miles, 5.0 Liter V8, Automatic, Power Windows, Locks, AM/FM Radio (also wired for Police radio but not installed)

Black Cloth Interior, in very good shape.

Exterior is Navy. Clayton County Georgia Police painted the vehicle navy blue to use in undercover operations.

The Georgia State Patrol graphics are static cling and are not permanent on the vehicle.

The blue lights have been reinstalled but are not hooked to a switch (per Georgia law). Both sets are only bolted into their original housing are also very easily removed (both sets still work).

Vehicle runs well with no mechanical issues, A/C works.

There are many historical and vehicle specific Police documents with the car, including the Severe Service manual, many Clayton County Police documents, GSP inspection sheet from 1993, and the GSP Emergency Light Certification sticker, also the original "Property of Clayton County" sticker is still on the vehicle.

It's a nice car, especially for prior Police use, no holes in the dash or roof because of the undercover use.

Feel free to ask any questions. I would be more than happy to show the vehicle any time.

Ummm....that's not a Georgia Highway Patrol car.

Did GSP even buy Mustangs in 1993?

I don't know the answer to that but sounds like it has Buck Tags and some other documentation that could be used for verification. Mentions a municipality as well in the listing.

Buck tags say "DSO Police", and the documentation the seller posted is a GSP emergency light permit which can be explained here:

Since he found pay stubs in the vehicle from Clayton County, I'd bet it was a Clayton County PD car. A call to the PD would probably help clear it up. http://www.claytoncountyga.gov/depar...ic-safety.aspx

BTW....officers in GA are not allowed to run traffic out of unmarked cars.

Now that's what I'm talkin' about! Getting to the bottom of things and learning something in the process.

Thanks...I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night. ;)

Seriously, someone over there might want to help him out with it a little. It's only been two months since he first posted it up.

x1000. I learn new stuff here all the time, too. Probably one of my favorite parts of this hobby.

I inquired several days in the .org thread that I started if he had any GSP documentation that included his VIN as confirmation. Haven't noticed a reply.
