Quarter window resto

I got tired of looking at the faded and chewed up 1/4 window trim. I sanded them lightly with 220 and built them up with primer. It took several coats and lots of sanding. If I had been patient and waited for the primer to dry longer, not as much sanding would have been required. Dupli color trim paint was used for the final coat. The second side went faster and it had some deeper gouges in it.

what color code did you use and was it just a spray can?

I used Rust-oleum filler primer(hi-build) and Dupli-color trim paint in a green can. Both were in spray cans.

one suggestion i will make when doing thes windows is to always use flexible products. I refurbed several sets of windows this way also. I used a flexible filler primer and sanded,, then used a flexible bumper/trim paint product.

using flexible products will reduce the chance of the paint on the windows cracking with time.

I just picked up a pair of quarter windows for $80. They are not the best, but they do not have deep gouges in them like the ones on my car. Time to get to work on these with all your suggestions.
