The tale of Two Brackets?
 
i have finally caught up enough around here to
work on chp/8397 and i am ready to fabricate
the Low-band whip clip bracket! I could make
anything! Fancy not so fancy Polished / flat?
anyone have any idea what is correct? have an
original? can post a pict?
any of these original? I know these were fabricated
in house and may vary but still i'm starting from scratch!
Mike C's is Fancy..... both are functional
anyone?

Andy....mine (2nd pic) was an original from CHP but I made the aluminum bracket myself to use the original hole in the car. I think either style would work. There are some in service pictures out there that might show how CHP made them. I need one also if you are manufacturing them.. : )

It's just a piece of metal strap with two holes
bent here......and here.....but where?
Does this whip clip make my car look fat?
Ha....haha
no really....i am sure they were all bent and drilled similar
but no two were the same. the hole for the Clip will be consistent
but the hole for door jamb will vary!

I had to notch out the CLIP a bit to accommodate the Antenna
and made the bracket from scrap galvanized strap i found
a little hammer here
a little bend there a few holes
and wa la WCB
