New from WI
Hello to all,
I have been a frequent visitor to the site, but this is my first post. I have a 1987 Wisconsin State Patrol SSP that I bought in 2003. It needs to be restored (hard life during and after its career), but I have nearly everything for it. Hope to make some progress this year! Thanks for all the info and knowledge available on the site. |
Welcome. Post pics of it when you can. The Fury's also.

Welcome! Feel free to post up questions, not matter how silly you think they may be. The answers help everybody.

Welcome Dan!
Is that car an Automatic? Did Wis. use Auto trans ssp cars... Do you know? thanks!!! |
Welcome Dan to the site. We need to meet and compare notes. After talking with you on WI SSPs, It appears you have the first year WI bought SSPs and I have the last year that they bought SSPs and there are many differences in the equipment between the years. Will talk with you soon.

The car is an automatic, unsure if they used 5-speeds. Will post pictures as soon as i figure out how :)

I've talked to several retired Wi. State Troopers at car shows and they did use some 5-speeds but most were automatics. Welcome to the site Dan. Where in Wi. are you located? I'm in central Wi. You didn't by any chance buy your SSP from a guy at Iola did you? I had just gotten back from out east where I picked up my 88 FHP and I was too late to make it to Iola and I heard about an 87 Wi. SSP that sold there. Good luck with your resto. This site is one of the best for info on these cars. Doug

Doug,
It is the Iola car, a friend stumbled across it in the swap meet. Has some typical WI rust issues and crash damage from on and off duty, but nothing too serious. I'm near Port Washington. |
Welcome to the site, Dan.

Welcome to the forum...you'll enjoy participating. Looking forward to seeing your progress with the Wisconsin SSP.
