Why we care...

This is the letter that Jim just received from the Colorado State Patrol. I think it sums up the points discussed here recently and the responsibilities associated with ownership of and participation in this hobby.

Mike, I will have to scan the letter I got this week with two promotional posters they would like displayed with my car. I have yet to email Major Bratt a thank you, but I will take all the promotional material they will send me. A little CSP recruiting display outside their state, once I get her restored enough to show properly.
The more I deal with the CSP, the more I want to work for them in some form or fashion!! Greg |
Greg,
Your letter and posters would make a great addition to this thread. CSP is very "restoration-friendly" and I hope it stays that way for a long time. :) |
Given the title of this thread, I think it's important to point out the following sentences from the CSP letter:
Quote:
As SSP enthusiasts, our actions in the public eye with our cars not only reflects upon our hobby, but also the agency of the car that we own. SVO Mustang owners (as an example) do not need to be this diligent, but SSP Mustang owners certainly do! |

I believe this says everything. This is the letter I got this week from the Colorado State Patrol.
I'll be getting the posters mounted on foam core for display. Sort of hard to take photos of them since they were rolled up in a poster tube. Will have to wait a few days until I can get them mounted. Greg |
Jim, congrats on the CSP decal permission letter!!!!!!!!:2thumbs:
CSP has been GREAT to work with! Many thanks to them.:) I also got the same letter n posters as Mr Wolfe and will display them proudly! |
Hec,
thanks buddy. I agree CSP trys very hard to help us out. They are a class act for sure. Greg, thanks for posting that letter so all can see why our behavior is so important. I hope everyone will read it and then take a close look at the activities they participate in with their marked SSP car and evaluate themselves to decide if they truly represent Law Enforcement, car enthusiasts, SSP mustang web sites and themselves in a professional and positive manner. To everyone that owns an SSP Mustang, Are you really doing everything you should? If the Colonel was standing on the side of the road watching would he approve? thoughts to ponder gentlemen. |
