Been quite some time since I've posted here, any forum actually. Time has really flown by, to me it only feels like a year since my forum activities. Still have what I had years back, been acquiring more and selling more though!

My dad has had this 85 since around 2005, bought it on ebay from a tow yard in Red Bluff, apparently the last owner had it sitting at their house for who knows how long and just wanted it gone. Flash forward to current times my dad decided it was time to let it go to get extra money towards a financial situation. We towed it up to Oregon a week ago and I decided it was something I wanted, this time get it on the road and enjoy it before tearing it apart for body work like 8337 (which is still a work in progress). Paid part cash and my 85 LTD LX for it, total value of $3500 (for market reference).

Over this last weekend I've gotten the wheels swapped out and got it to run after rebuilding the carb and replacing the ignition switch. There was an under hood fire before my dad got it, quite a few crispy wires and bad vacuum lines to replace still. This week I'll install the new master cylinder and replace the leaking fuel pump, which may have been the cause of the fire or the leaking carb gaskets but don't know for sure. Will also be giving it a good cleaning, already hand buffed a couple areas and they show some hope for shiny paint again.
