Hi all,
Been wanting to post this for several months now, finally found the time. Some months ago I picked up imevil's 82 CHP, #0559. You all probably wondered where it went to, well here we are! It'll be a restoration project for me and my recent son in law, a Frederick County MD Deputy. So far it looks like I'll be doing the majority of the work lol! It's my first Fox body; I have been restoring early (66-68) Mustangs for over 20 years. I like the early CHP cars; I was living in CA when they were using these. Still collecting equipment. I temporarily replaced the wheels with later rims to repaint the originals. It'll be a correct restoration when finished. I'll be posting some more pics soon. |
Welcome and good luck on the project, post lots of progress pics!

Congrats on the 82! I hope we can cross paths some time, since I'm not that far away from you.

Thanks!
Thanks all. This is a great site and has some great forums. I've learned a lot already and will be needing some help as this thing progresses from you guys that know these cars. I'm going to move this post to the 82-86 forum and post some pics. Yes-this will be a great car to restore, nice rust free car with a really nice interior as you'll see from the pics. BillJr I hope we can meet too. I plan to do a lot of shows this year including the Ford Nat's. BTW, I just bought Rob Nadeau's 85 CHP car #8346. It was delivered last night. I spent this afternoon washing all the salt from the trip off of it. If anyone ever needs help on importing a vehicle from Canada, let me know!
