FHP Motorola PAC/RT Converta-Com

Trying to find the converta-com to use with my PAC RT for my FHP. Found this unit on eBay but it doesn't look like the one in he resto doc. Instead if a stand alone repeater switch its actually on the unit itself. Did they use this type or this not the right style? Thanks!

I still have yet to see an in-service pic of either style. We do have property lists with them on it, but the model numbers aren't listed.

I have found on my two FHP's where the convertacom was mounted: on the passenger side of the hump behind the passenger seat. You should find two screw holes there if you look from under the car. On my 91 the holes have a wide pattern which matches the convertacom pictured on the resto doc. On my 92 the holes have a closer pattern which would match up to a smaller convertacom possibly like the one you pictured from ebay. Also, if you look at the carpet from the right angle you can see the depression from the mounting bracket.

Good info! Thanks, it'll definitely help....I'll be looking for the screw holes next time I get a chance. The guy I got it from took the carpet out so no luck there with the depression.

Looks like a Caprice but this pic shows the convertacom in-service.
