Selling a 1993 SSP

I hate to make my first post in this forum a goodbye (I've been "lurking" for years), but I'm ready to sell my baby:

http://www.specialservicemustang.net...info131155.htm

My question: Does a 1993 SSP have any intrinsic value if modded as noted below, or is it basically now just another notchback?

Thanks for any advice here and all the help over the years, the photos, the VIN database, etc.

1993 Mustang 5.0 coupe 5-speed
167,000 miles
Special Service Package (SSP)
Black with opal interior
Daily driver since 1999
Everything works (including A/C); well maintained

OF NOTE:
Former Florida Highway Patrol car
Stripped and painted ($4,500 job): February 2013
Engine rebuilt February 2005

MODIFICATIONS:
Gears (3.55)
Torsen T2R differential
Ford Motorsports ceramic coated shorty headers
Stainless X-pipe with cats
Vogtland springs
Full-length subframe connectors (Maximum Motorsports)
MM caster-camber plates
MM panhard bar
Stainless front brake lines
Underdrive pulleys

EXTRAS:
2 extra sets of wheels (original 10-holes on the car; 16x7 pony wheels with caps and 16x8 5-spoke wheels)
Police spotlight (came with the car, but no longer installed)
Original springs, gears (3.08), Trac-Lok differential, air silencer, pulleys

PROBLEM (just being honest here):
Puff of smoke taking off from a stop (classic symptom of leaking valve seals)
But no oil on plugs, and compression in all cylinders is within acceptable range (checked February 2017)

Definitely not another notch. Sounds like some very nice and tasteful bolt-ons on an SSP. Good luck with the sale. Post some pics.

depends on the buyer. To me it lessens the value of the car because if I bought it I would then absorb the expense of putting it back original. Sometimes however, that expense is offset by selling the performance parts, depending on what they are.

I'll try to post pictures later, and will definitely post it in the For Sale forum.

And, NoDrama43, that's kind of what I was thinking. Unless somebody wants to have a correct car with lights, etc. (and this is a long way from that, with all the black-and-tan paint stripped), there's not a lot of value in an oil cooler and seat reinforcements. :-)

that is a good looking car that doesn't "appear" to be all modded out. I do not think you will have any problems selling if you price it fairly. For the purist it will be easy to put back stock, and the new paint and a rebuilt engine are a big plus as well.

Looks like a pretty nice car with minimal mods. That's nice for someone who doesn't mind...and also nice for someone who needs to revert it back to stock.

So let's hear it. What kind of money are you looking for? Not that I need another foxbody or anything. :D

Not sure yet! That's why I was asking here. Y'all should have said, "Hell no, not worth anything extra!" :-)

Probably will ask about $6K and see what happens.
The Blue Book is only like $3K to $3.5K, so I know I might be dreaming.

It's funny ... everywhere you go with a Fox body coupe, people say, "Ohh, nice car, you can't find these anymore, they're hard to get, everyone's looking for these, blah blah ..."

But the prices certainly don't reflect it!

I can't complain. It's been 18 years of pure fun (well, except when it was in the garage).

6k is a very fair price.

(My wife says this is like porn.)

I had requests for the underside, but I was too lazy to put it on 4 jackstands for an overall shot. Yell if there is something specific.
