How bad is this damage?
 

I had someone look at my car today who was interested in buying it, and some sort of Ford Tech. I knew that the front fender had been aligned from stock, and you can see the paint difference where it doesn't line up perfect. I'm no expert and just knew the car drove straight, and nothing seemed that bad. I'm looking for opinions on how bad this really is. Is there any safety type concerns, I wouldn't think so, but would like other's opinion. What does this do to the restoration value of this car?

That's what I call a "kink" in the frame rail. You don't get it from just pushing something. It means it took a hit to that side of the car and kinked the rail. That's one of the things on my checklist to look for when I'm looking at potential cars to buy.

Bobby or others can chime in on what all it takes to fix it.

Actually it's not that bad (what I can see from the pics). Cars are designed to absorb impacts and that's just what this car had done. If you removed front cover and passengers fender a capable body man should be able to pull and square the front end back up for you for between $300 & $500 tops. Providing there's not hidden damage such as core support etc. Your fiberglass impact bar and right bumper shock needs to be checked and probably replaced as well. I have fix dozens of these type hits on fox bodies and they're pretty straight forward fixes. Make sure who ever does the work puts the car on stands on the frame rack and not just tie it down... Thanks for the input guys. I guess this is the final straw in that I have to keep the car. I wouldn't sale it without disclosing this information, and I feel like disclosing it would drop the value to much to be worth selling. Sounds like I would probably be ok just driving it, and when it's time for a paint job deal with it then. I guess I know something else to look for now when I'm looking at foxes.

It really is not that bad. Fixed right you would never be able to tell it. Truth is 90% of the fox bodies with a hit in the front on carfax has had this same damage... Some worse some a lot worse... If this accident is already on its carfax, then fixing it will only help the value. If it is not then fixing it will definately not hurt value. Only leaving it be will hurt its value. Just be honest show them the result of the repair and if it's done correctly they'll not be able to tell and should have no qualms about the purchase. It's not like it's got a salvaged title or anything like that.

What I'm thinking is that the car runs and drives good, and has 109k on it. At this point the car seems to be worth more as solid transportation not fixed, then it is as a SSP fixed . While fixed right might not hurt it's value, it's not going to make it worth more then it was before I knew it was kinked, but I'll have a lot more into it. So I'll just make it a driver, and probably let my son drive it to school next year.
