Wanted 1983-84 Texas DPS SSP
I'm interested in buying a 83-84 Tx SSP to add to my corral. Please contact me if anybody wants to sale or has info on one for sale.

Jason, you might want to contact Mick/FoxChassis to see if he has any AutoCheck records for the ranges of 1983 and 1984 Texas DPS cars. From there, you may be able to look for certain cars. At one point, I placed Craigslist ads in New Mexico looking for that silver 1985 SMPV, based upon the last known records that were listed on its Carfax. I never heard anything back on that car, but you may luck out doing something similar.

Thanks Bill I will do that.

If you go to the VIN Project you will see the batches in 1983 (50) and 1984 (118) that TXDPS have been found in. For the batch in '83 the first 26 went to GA and the last 24 went to TX. For the batch in '84 they all went to TX.
These titles were supposedly marked as "junked", according to the TX DMV Title Check web page: 1983 1FABP26F7DF175205 1FABP26F2DF175208 1FABP26F8DF175214 1984 1FABP26M4EF184590 1FABP26MXEF184593 1FABP26M9EF184598 1FABP26M9EF184603 1FABP26M8EF184608 1FABP26MXEF184609 1FABP26MXEF184612 1FABP26M0EF184618 1FABP26M2EF184622 1FABP26MXEF184643 1FABP26M7EF184650 1FABP26M9EF184651 1FABP26M3EF184659 1FABP26M5EF184663 1FABP26M5EF184677 1FABP26M6EF184686 1FABP26M2EF184703 I have been gathering info on TXDPS here: http://foxchassis.com/files/SSP/TXTitleCheck.xlsx 1989 is half done and 1993 has not been started. All the rest are done. These are of course only batches that have known TXDPS in them. As we discover more batches I'll add to the list. |
Thanks a bunch Mick that will help me out alot. The search starts now , I hope I can find one.
