New SSP in my garage!

Hi all, for those of you who no longer go to the other site, here's some pics of my latest purchase.

It's a 1993 SSP 5 speed with 98,600 miles. Former Missouri State Highway Patrol then owned by the city of Cottleville MO for the last 10 years and used as their DARE car. It was in-service until yesterday when I picked it up. I've known about and wanted this car since Cottleville bought it in '97, I guess 10 years of persistance payed off!

They sold it to me fully marked with all functioning emergency equipment including radio, siren and lights - has a Code 3 Intensity strobe bar and corner strobes too.

A few more photos in this Fotki album

I have a pic of a NC car with an all blue version of that light bar on it. Cool light bar, but I dont think it sold too well.

When I started on the PD 11 years ago (11 years? Wow, I'm getting old...) the dept had one of these on a car as a test. I always liked it, I thought it looked put out a ton of light and looked cool too.

I spent some time going over the car today and updated my fotki with a bunch of detail pics too. There's also 3 videos of the car running under "my videos" on my fotki page. I typed a ton about the car on the other site, I hate to reference it here, but check my post over there for condition details of the car.

Someday I'll have enough SSP's to compete with Jim...OK, no I won't without a divorce first!

Oh yea Jim, when I was in St Louis yesterday I stopped at the Designs in Motion diecast store. When I told the store owner Greg I was back in St Louis to pick up the SSP, he brought you up and said you've bought some diecast and to tell you "hi".

cool car Eric. I agree with you on putting it back to its original version for MOHP. an excellent score ! I just need three more to have my collection complete........and actually I have an 88 located so in reality it is just 2 more. I have been thrashing on the barn all fall and today I start pouring some concrete for the paint booth.

no problems here with referencing SSP.org. We all understand that most are members of both sites and its all about the cars and our hobby.
