Spot Light Help

I just finished taking apart and reassembling the spotlight on my AZ car and it actually works........kind of. The light turns on when the light is in the down position but as soon as it rotates about half way towards the front of the car it goes out ( turns on again when you rotate it back ). I took it apart again and everything looks fine so I have no idea. Any help appreciated.

Gary,

You are just going to have to start replacing parts (starting with the handle). They would start losing contact, hence no light, long before the cars left service (that is, if they were actually used).

Handles are a consumable item on spotlights, actually the whole spotlight is. You can disassemble the handle and I believe the parts are available from Unity to rebuild them, but I have rarely seen that come out well.

Gary - that's just making it authentic in my opinion. Half the patrol units I've been assigned over the years had the same issue. :D

I can get a new 325V Unity Spotlight which is 1/8" longer on the outside and 1/2" longer center to center than the 325K. Would this work for my application or could I at least rob some parts off it to make mine work?

Anyone know if the handles are in interchangeable?

I'm almost sure they interchange. Nice avatar BTW.

Thanks, I'll buy an NOS light and try to see if the handle fits.
