Question About Radio Equipment

Hello,
I'm trying to understand the whole setup of special radio equipment (mainly the 1984 year).

Interior, Front:
-CC1, Federal Signal (Radio location)
-???Micor low band Radio, not to sure what model this is (Under the CC1)
-Regency MX-3000 scanner (to the right side of the Radio)

Trunk, Interior:
*Items on the trey, left to right
-???dual-reciever micor radio
-Mastr II Repeater
-Siren Amp (Federal Siginal, MPA2)
-Flasher (Model #131 "wig-wag", headlight)

Plese correct me, I'm trying to make sense of it.

Thanks.

You pretty much have it all listed there. The CC1 controls the lights and siren. The MPA2 works in conjunction with the CC1 to provide the siren and PA functions (it's a siren amp).

The Motorola Micor (that's the model) works with the GE repeater for radio comms (Micor is the base unit, MASTR is the repeater for the officer's handheld to reach out to). The repeater would reach out to whatever handheld was there and accept traffic, and would update as new units arrived on scene. That's what the RESET button on the Micor face is for; so that the officer could reset the radio/repeater and be able to talk normally on the base once back inside the car.

Hope it helps you.

The dual transmitter Micor and GE repeater take up all the room on the trunk radio board so the MPA2 is mounted on the bottom of the board-that's why it was built with metal support legs. On my car, the wig-wag unit (SoundOff Signal Roadrunner) was located under the hood mounted onto the coil cover.
