got a couple questions about what these holes might have been for . ive owned this car for a while and just curious as to what u guys think they mught have been for
2 holes on door panel
3 holes with round indention one front of headliner ( over the dash)
4 holes (2 pics on underside of deck lid
Thanks for the help

Mounted on the headliner above the rear-view mirror was a big round light with a manual on/off switch.

Here is an example:

Just venturing a guess here - 1st picture may have been a flash light rack/holder position. 2nd picture looks like an indention from a large circular dome light. 3rd and 4th pictures - shotgun rack mount points???

I agree with this....flashlight holder is a possibility on the door handle as he said or maybe a baton holder? The others are almost definite but that one is a strange yet interesting animal.

Kevin, is your unit number present on the door jam or radiator support or under hood? It would be a three sequence number such as 2-12-80.

heres one on the door jamb, the buck tag, and the door tag. the same number is present on the firewall, on headlight support, and on the underside of the hood.

Thanks for the add'l photos. We added your SSP to our VIN Project -

...which allowed us to confirm another SSP with the same DSO -

On that second car, we did not have confirmation of the SSP option for that DSO, or agency usage. So your car helped confirm that car as a South Carolina SSP. :)

That also adds to the "special paint code" topic here: http://www.specialservicemustang.net...ead.php?t=4428 :)

Bill: Can you copy South Carolina . . . . . . . W2813 and M6401 from the bottom of the 1991 list to the bottom of the 1992 list? Thanks.
