Trunk lights?

Anybody have a set up like this? All the wires have been cut but the flasher and mercury switch are there.

That's a nice little setup. What agency was the car with?

Also found this....

I am starting to fix some things on the body and pulled the tail lights off and found this. Any guesses? I am thinking its a strobe light. I took it out and it looks like a curly glass tube.

Hey Evil1, I have been going crazy trying to find out what agency it served with. Carfax did not elaborate. The MVD says all records from 87 have been purged. Talking with some of the local PD I have heard that the City of Mesa had a couple of these, but I have yet to verify that.
I am going to try and get these trunk lights working. I just need to splice in some wires and hope I dont fry anything:D

 all four corners have these in the lamp housing. Now how do they work? there is no wiring left. is there a box or something and where would they hide it?:headscratch:

Hard to tell from your pics if they are halogens or strobes. Halogens will have 2 wires coming from them; 12VDC pos/neg. Strobes will have 3; Red, black, white. These are power, ground, and trigger from a strobe power supply.

Power supply can go anywhere...check out the Whelen install manual for a CSP660 to see how easy it is. Four strobe cables with connectors, +12VDC and ground to the power supply, then a separate power switch (very low amp draw) for the on/off trigger. Box will have power all the time.
