The lighting sequence for the vector light bar should go like this. The point light was a steady non rotating red. The two lights out bound from those were clear take down lights that could be steady white lights or 360 revolving. the outer two from them were one blue/ yellow insert on passenger side and one red/ yellow insert on the drivers side. The inserts had to provide yellow light to the rear to comply with the vehicle code. These could rotate or wig wag depending on which mode they were in. Hope this helps.

Interesting - A Vision bar vs. a Vector. And yes - thank you for the info, Don!

And thanks for the added pics. Wish we could see the shotgun setup/radio setup inside the car. :)

Thanks guys!:) Great photos and info.
Does anyone know of any small lights that can rotate or anything that can make small lights rotate? If I'm gonna make such a large scratch built light bar I might as well try and put in rotating lights :D

And I might have found the "best" dash pics I will see. I also completely forgot the camaros had shotgun racks. LOL. Maybe because I hadn't seen an interior pic:)

I also got some pics of mounting holes off a real 92 CHP:D

I will post pics;)

Sam, are you building a vector/vision bar for another car?

You can see the rotate function when hooked up to a SS2000 unit here.

Although it appears the CHP didn't use the SS2000, but something in-house made that worked somewhat similarly:

Thanks for the links!:)

I am actually going to build a 1/8 scale lightbar:D
If there was someway I could make small lights work with a 1/1 scale control head and make the lights flash like in the vid...
This may be a complicated build. lol:)

Here are the photos I found:D And SSPCHPSTANG3101, your pics do not show up anymore. Maybe it is just my computer?

This is the car that was restored and sold on ebay. This is when it was being stripped (note the newer colored decals, you can tell the car was repainted with it having those).

It is interesting that 2926, 2927, and 2928 still exist:D

MOstang 01-08-2012 04:54 PM

Cool pics thanks for posting them.

Rhino 01-08-2012 10:51 PM

OMG - Wow. THANK YOU for posting these!! Pure gold. I have, to this day, never seen the inside layout of a 92 before. Pretty sweet.

Curious - who has which #s? I believe 2926 is now in Norway (or somewhere that direction from when Matt Speith sold it).

2927 and 2928 - who has those now?

Mustang Kid 01-08-2012 11:33 PM

You guys are all welcome:)

2927 - Still with CHP
2928 - I don't know. I thought you might know, Ryan. Since you almost bought the car, I thought you would know.
My dad has, IIRC, 2917 at his restoration shop. The owner has other CHP cars too (not my dad;) )
And I believe 2916 exists.
