85 NCSHP Mustang pic

The Trooper that originally drove my SSP in service was issued an 85 once mine was retired. He was kind enough to send me a pic of it in service. Note the LTD hubcaps, I'm assuming NC decided they were cool.

Cool. It doesn't look like there are any emergency lights in the back of that unmarked.

How is everybody getting these in service pictures??? There were a lot of '82 CHP's, anyone have any advice on how to track down info on where it was in service and who was assigned to it?

Great pic! With your permission, I'd like to add it to the in-service gallery.

You can probably confirm this with the trooper, but that '85 is probably an AOD car, hence the 14 inch wheels and full hubcaps.

If your assignment card is still at CHP, you might be able to find out what area your car was in, which would give you a good starting point.

You're more than welcome to use the pic as you wish. You may also use the in service pic of my 83 in the other thread, the one without the dented fender of course. It also is an in-service pic.

The 85 was indeed an AOD car.

According to the Trooper, the only light they used was placed on the dash during a pursuit. It had a magnetic base that attached to a metal plate on the dash.

If you look real closely you can see a blue light sitting on the center of the dash, it's right behind the B-pillar. My 83 used the same setup.
