1992 GSP Perm # 2221 LoJack Tpr 895
 

I finally drug this one out of storage two weeks back... I had taken it on trade last summer. Unfortunately it was an unknown perm and Trooper car (as I did not have the complete 1992 GSP info at that time).

Speed forward,
I just got all remaining records from GSP on the 92's to complete my documentation. Naturally,The very first thing I did was look up my "unknown" GSP. I immediately recognized the Trooper Badge # and sent Marvin a message.

So after a long winter, I got the missing GSP info; My unknown GSP's Perm and Trooper #; spoke with Trooper (Marvin Prince); got it's back story AND "in service pic" ALL IN THE SAME DAY!!! So never give up on getting info it can come from out of the blue in the blink of an eye...

It was a "VERY GOOD DAY" indeed...

The previous owner had installed smooth inner fender aprons before realizing what he had. Those are now removed factory aprons repaired cleaned up and new "Police Ultra Blue" applied under hood...

Looking great..

Made a little progress on 2221... I am ready to decal and equip 1247, so that leaves me without a easily driven foxbody. So I decided to build me another driver until the time comes to fully restore this one... I'll be nothing that can't be easily undone and will do a proper Resto on it in the future...

Dash removed stripped dyed and reinstalled. New carpet ready to install as soon as dash is completely reassembled. Headliner board and rear deck board being reupholstered.

Scored big today! Got my LoJack... It's a pretty big deal since LoJack themselves did all the installs and took them back up once done. I'm not saying none slipped through, but those were very few and far between (at least as was told to me by the head LoJack sales representative).

Also got correct antennas and cables as well...:2thumbs:

Still making slow progress on interior. Mass backed carpet installed. Dash coming back together. Console in. Seats are still in upholstery jail ( I have a old back seat and passenger seat temporarily installed so I can set Down while working those seat studs get on my nerves LOL)

I was able to refrain from opening the box when it arrived for at least 10 minutes :rolleyes: I've been blessed along the way for sure... I'm going to work on this one over the winter at my house (except paintwork) while I work on the 83 at the shop. So maybe by spring she'll be done.

Made some progress on 2221... Bottom all buttoned up running good no leaks. Still need mufflers and tailpipes installed. Next going through brakes with new rotors; pads; drums; shoes; hoses; master cylinder & brake booster... Then I'll take her to the shop for paint work. Hopefully my interior will be done by then... Then final reassembly.

Apparently this GSP went to another agency possibly Fire Department ( guess at this time on my part) and was repainted a reddish Orange with pale yellow roof; trunk and probably hood... Would like to find what agency used this paint scheme...

Roof / quarter break

Drivers door ( from a 89 GSP swapped while in service with GSP). Notice the charcoal gray this 89 unit was painted all gray and used by task force). It was painted gray and issued to get this "Ricky Wilcox" 799

Finally got the roof finished and base coated... If all goes well I'll have the blue on and cleared by end of the weekend..
