FHP0665 11-08-2007 07:22 AM

Dash almost reminds me of the old TA's.

ImEvil1 11-08-2007 11:05 AM

That is a sweet ride.

Andy 11-08-2007 12:29 PM

No...Not for sale..I will send you a PM

SparkSVT 11-08-2007 04:05 PM

Both the new Bullitt and Andys fastback are sweet. Andy you seem to have alot of super high dollar cars..must be nice to be rich!!! :)

Andy 11-08-2007 10:13 PM

Not sure what rich is?
If i drove a car instead of a motorcycle all the time i would consider myself rich.
If i had cable TV or satellite TV i would consider myself rich.
If we ate out once a month ...i would consider myself rich.
If i had someone work in my car..i would consider myself rich.
If i had someone work in my house..i would consider myself rich.
If i bought something that was not on sale...i would consider myself rich.
If i ate something NOT on the dollar menu i would consider myself rich.
(Jack in the box Two Tacos for 99 cents...Mmmm good.)
If i bought some shoes that cost more then the 10 dollar K-Mart brand ...I would
consider myself rich.
I could go on and on........
So.......what up with the CHP Vehicle Assignment Card's?:)

It is called "engine turned". Pontiac used it widely in the GTO's and early 70's TA's.

ImEvil1 11-19-2007 04:20 PM

Ordered it on Z-plan today...Highland Green, HIDs, Active Anti-Theft, and Ambient Lighting.

DJP checked to see if the car was plan-eligible (thanks David), and 1989TxDPSSSP pointed me in the direction of a local, friendly dealer willing to do it (thanks Tom). :)

I'll post up pics when it arrives (probably sometime in January...I hope).

You had me....for a second. :drunk:

Andy 11-19-2007 11:00 PM

Sounds like a nice car Mike....I really like the new Mustang's... I think it has gone full circle
now with the new/old/up-dated body style.allot of the Old School Idaho Mustang club
members have bought the New Mustang but no known 2008 Bullitt owners yet? enjoy the
new ride:)

ImEvil1 11-19-2007 11:27 PM

My first new Mustang since I bought the silver, '93 coupe.

I had been considering a GT500, but I had to wait to see how things would shake out with the wife's Fed LEO app process and I decided to pass on it. She leaves Wednesday for her academy, so it was time to buy something to drive.

It didn't hurt that Ford changed the rules for the Z-plan a few months ago...I've been watching my parents and grandparents buy them for years and was never previously eligible.

scoutdrivinrebel 11-19-2007 11:31 PM

Congrats Mike!!!

bmt336 11-20-2007 12:23 AM

Spend that money, payments aren't so bad....lol.

Gotta go-time to sign up for some overtime.....:2thumbs:

ImEvil1 11-20-2007 12:27 AM

Thanks. :)

Andy,

Forgot to respond above....Job #2 is Dec 23 (I think), so no new Bullitt owners just yet.

I like the "understated" appearance of the car, plus it has a few great additions. I was thinking of ordering a GT a couple of months ago, and it would have been close to the same price (pre-Z plan changes, with options) as this one, so I'm glad I waited.

It shouldn't be too bad. You should postpone your trip out by a month so you can check it out.

Good Deal Mike!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will have to make sure I get that referral Money from them.

Definitely....and after the way I was treated there, they will definitely be getting positive recommendations from me. He even went out of his way to point out that the current rebates would apply to the car (whatever they end up being when the car hits the ground..currently $1500).

scoutdrivinrebel 11-20-2007 01:04 AM

Think they'd sell my Dad a new GT-500 at sticker? He'd like to have one, but not at $15,000 or more over sticker. I haven't found a dealer around here that will work with us.

1989 Tx DPS SSP 11-20-2007 01:07 AM

They have a Grabber Orange with White Stripes on the Floor now. They have it a 20k over but the Salesman said more like 15 and below.

Tom

1989 Tx DPS SSP 11-20-2007 01:09 AM

Mike I hope you ordered ir fully loaded with the HID and more.

Tom

ImEvil1 11-20-2007 01:09 AM

They had a Grabber Orange coupe with white stripes on the showroom floor...I think it was marked 5K over MSRP.

Another dealer I talked with about my car said that they sold one for 25K over. That is just plain insane. :headscratch:

Sounds nice, but he won't pay over sticker, at least not that much. I keep thinking they'll come off these markups, but it hasn't happened. Too bad.

1989 Tx DPS SSP 11-20-2007 01:15 AM

They had a dealer in Ohio that is the top dealer in the US, 100+ units they have sold offer 7500 over and they declined the offer because they would like one of their own have chance to sell it.

Amazing...I guess regular guys won't be able to buy them new for a while, or ever. I see them on the roads fairly regularly, at least one a week. Lot's of big $$$ spent I guess.
