New from Ky

Just picked up a 1985 Texas SSP notch back. VIN 1FABP26M8FF204941. I see it is listed on this site. It has a Marti report. I was told it was used by the Texas Rangers and also when they sold the vehicles they repainted them. No proof, just talk. I would really like to know who used the vehicle and the outside color. Basically the history of the car. If anybody can help me out here, I would really appreciate it. I would like to put it back to original and drive it, not show it.

Welcome to the forum! The TxDPS SSPs are sharp looking cars. Here's an in-service picture of an 85 -

This is what I have found out today on what I have. Texas highway patrol, black and white, 5-speed, cruise, tilt, stereo radio. Finally got in touch with one of the owners. The car was auctioned off in black and white. Repainted years later med charcoal. The guy I bought it from BS's me. At least I know what I have. Love the carb cars.

Hey I live in Louisville as well, out off Dixie Hwy. I'm on Louisville Mustangs facebook group as well. I hope to see your car at one of the local cruises or maybe a Derby City Mustang Club cruise. I just added a SSP to my stable and I hope to have it ready by the June 27th cruise.
