New '85 CHP Owner
Hey folks, fairly new member to this site and also to the SSP family, scoured the market for the "right deal" and it came in the way of a fellow members "85 CHP, it finally made it's way across many US States and into Canada where it will remain until pretty much my death lol, look for lots of help in answering probably mundane questions that numerous people have asked in the past but based on reading lots of old threads it doesn't matter, the support is huge from all members on here. thanks for the add and too many new memories owning this huge piece of not only Ford history, but also within the CHP history, i know the first thing I have to figure out, how to get a profile pic and proper signature on here lol

Rob, it is nice to see you here. The pictures you posted on FB are great. For those who do not know, Rob purchased JohnB's 1985 CHP Mustang, which I believe was the first one restored of that vintage. I took the liberty of snatching a post of yours from FB and attaching it here. :)

Thanks guys and thanks for posting a pic on here, cause I have no idea how these forum things work, too many buttons I guess.
Yes I purchased John B's car, from what I'm told and read it is quite known in the SSP family, I'm a little different, I'm a fame and attention seeker, why not, I have a nice car...:D I'm located in Ontario Canada where you DO NOT see these cars, so I bought this car to show, I attend shows and cruises thru out the summer with my '03 Mach 1 but knew I wanted something different, well these SSP's are just that! |

Rob - welcome aboard. John's car is very nice. Saw it at our local show 2 years back. I brought out my 85 as well and was all over John's car taking pictures, gear placement, etc.
As a funny side note - my door keys open up your trunk. Maybe I will use that sometime in the future as part of a prank. Don't ask me how I know that either. :) :) |
