I just need a gate release date and ship date and I will be that much closer. It was built Tuesday, hopefully everyone was in a good mood from the holiday...:toasts:

Actually, that's more from the bad old days. I don't think there are major quality shifts corresponding to days of the week anymore. Now it's all quite good no matter when it was built. :thumbsup:

Unless there is an issue...they are usually gate released in a few days...!! I say you'll have it in two weeks..or less..

SWEET, I can't wait. I have had a couple of order sheets before, but never gone through with actually doing it until now. One was for an 89 GT when I had just graduated from U of F, but bought the 67 Thunderbird instead, and one was for a 2001 Z28 SS, but got laid off, so I am pretty excited.

It is fairly base, GT Deluxe with manual trans, and only 4 options: Interior upgrade with charcoal panel, Shaker 500, Ambient lighting, and spoiler delete. Vista blue/Ebony cloth.

Just like I wanted it to be.

Sweet! I shall ask my dealer to show me the information on my 08 GT.. it was built on 9/17/07. Shall arrive by this next week as dealer promised but i have a gut feeling it'll be other 2 weeks which i dont mind, its still close to my birthday which is next week on the 26th. :thumbsup:

My GT is equipped by : GT Premium with manual trans, Interior upgrade with charcoal panel and leather seats, 3.55 gears, HID lights, Shaker 500. Alloy metallic/charcoal leather, 18" premium aluminum wheels, active anti theft which is required with HID lights package.

Just as i ordered it as.

My planned mods for now would be 5% tints all around and headlight/fog/taillights covers. It'll have stealthy looks. :D

Definitely will do! It'll be my very first brand new car to own! So i definitely will take pictures of it with me by it and inside it.

I get done with a call this afternoon, check the messages on the cell phone, and there is one from my sales guy Jeff at Ernest McCarty Ford in Alabaster Ala-BAM-a. The car came in today just before lunch time. So, I am headed north Thursday real early.

oh you lucky dude! my car was shipped on 9/17/07 and arrives on oct 1st.

I just picked up the new GT, it is really great and I will post pics by tomorrow night. The big news is a had a suprise from the dealer. He advised me that there was already a rebate on the 2008 GTs. 1000 bucks worth.:woohoo:

So make sure that they give you the rebate, and the same goes for anyone else who is taking delivery or ordering a new Mustang.

DRATS! I picked it up yesterday, gave me $500 rebate. love the car! will post pics of it soon, when did the rebate start?

I picked mine up on thursday. The Ford website shows only a 500 dollar rebate, so perhaps there is a regional extra 500 dollar rebate. Maybe Mustang sales in Alabama aren't strong so they are kicking a few hundred bucks extra. When I got there the sales guy said 500 bucks, but the manager said it was up to 1000 when we went to do the paperwork.
