How much is the seller asking?

84 wsp 04-17-2011 03:23 PM

$2000

NoDrama43 04-17-2011 03:31 PM

post up the info so interested parties can inquire of the seller.

84 wsp 04-17-2011 03:36 PM

it was a distant relatives, but its mine now
if I can sell it I will or else just sit on it for awhile

ImEvil1 04-17-2011 03:39 PM

$2000 sounds fair. Post up pics and put an ad in the FS section. That would be a sharp car when restored (I'm thinking it was probably the decal version with the blue stripes, right Jim?).

more info on the car:
paint is shot, no dents, don't think any bodys ever messed with any of the internals, don't see anything that isn't stock, hadn't been started in 5 or 6 yrs, a little carb cleaner and fuel and it started like it had been run an hour before!! 4 bbl carb, like I said theres a door tag.

I think 2k is a fair price considering it's all there and unmolested.

Flagged for removal???

NoDrama43 04-18-2011 08:14 PM

if the interior is gray I think it is an oregon car.

Looks to me like a WSP car given the antenna holes, mudflaps and other setup of the last 84 I looked at. $2K is not a bad starting price, however, the last 84 I checked out a month ago sold for $1,200 here in Tacoma in similar shape.

I'd be curious to see the pic of the buck tag/DSO info -or - if there are any records that come with the car from the WSP.

Academy blue is the color in 84 - and looks grey in the pics. Looks like the passenger seat is the original and the driver seat is a replacement over the years.

Don't see them unmolested too often. Nice find for sure - and good luck with the sale.

Looks like academy blue like mine by looking at pass. dash and door panels,
in pictures looks grey most the time. I think its closer to grey than blue to begin with and throw in a bit of fading and dirt. Anyone get a VIN#, curious where it falls with the other 84 SSP's. Interesting that it has the black headlight surrounds and sail panels, most of the Oregon and Washington cars were white that I've seen.

I submitted an offer and requested phone number to discuss...haven't heard anything back.

NoDrama43 04-19-2011 03:36 PM

I sent him an email asking for the vin to run a car fax but the seller has not responded. I am not interested in purchasing the car.

Troopers like Marlin (who had my 87) painted the bezels/surrounds black to set them off a little. Some painted the wheels as well. Was their way of making the car "unique" while in service.
