They hardly ever show up in my area. |

That is the UGLIEST blue I've ever seen. And it's on everything!!! Poor car.:watchout:
|
I mailed the guy and this is what he wrote:
It runs but has been stripped out under the hood. no a/c or smog. It is one of 634 built i believe or 674,i have to find the article on it. the truck does have carpet but needs to be replaced and the interior is in fair shape for the age. needs carpet. Im hoping to find some one who will take care of it. I just dont have the time to tinker with it any more. It hasnt been tagged in 2 almost 3 years but i crank it every time i get home. i was gonna start a restore cause the guy who had it before me used it at the strip. Im hoping that as rare as it is someone will buy it and restore it. Not take and gut it out and eventually wrap it around a tree. His name is Richard Melvin, if any one wanted to get in touch with him. |
If someone is serious about the car I could take a look at it maybe next weekend. Go see see my mom in Navarre. Which is right by Gulf Breeze. I think the car is a little overpriced considering the paint and interior and the fact that it hasn't been on the road in 2 or 3 years. But at least he cranks it. Seems like a $1500 car to me. Isn't '87 the only year that doesn't have a definite number used by FHP?
|
Im sure with a little talk, one can get the car for $900
|
That car needs a ton of work!!!!!!

This one is back up for sale, new owner I guess in Panama City, FL. I wouldn't mind having it but I have too many projects as it is and no cash.

OH MAN !!
Bud (W4ata) was over to my house today to take a look at my new FHP car. Once I opened the trunk he told me there was a car in the forums a few years back that was painted the same "Blue" and they had painted the mouldings, trim and all. (Why would someone do that???) After a quick search here and seeing the carfax info and pictures, it turns out to be the same car I just brought home. All of the racing items have been removed in my garage and the car is on its way back to where it should be, an in service condition SSP that can shown in MCA Ocassional and eventually concours. THANKS BUD for the info and lead to my cars history!!!!!!!!!!! |
Its for sale again. Saw it the other day.. Whats a good price for it?

87 FL SSP
this car is the same car with new paint?????????
|
Has the same vin number as the one here.. So I assume it to be the same.
I was just doing a search on the vin and ran across this site. Looks like its been rode pretty hard. Guys wants 3800 for it and the clutch is gone. I think that is WAY too much.. |
87 SSP
the owner said it needs cluch ,heater core and headliner,,if thats the same car it really looked rough,,I just checked out the old pic's and if I'm not mistaken it's looks like it did have rust on the driver side rocker panel??

its the same. Even the missing bolt on the hood hinge. Same red battery too.
|
Looks to me like this car has had a rough life. :( It seems to get different looks every time it sells. lol
|
I recently owned this car and sold it to the guy that currently has it for sale. The car does need a heater core, the headliner board went with the car but needed to be recovered, and the clutch wasn't that old and the problem appeared to be a bad release fork rather than clutch. I don't believe he has the shop resources to pull the tranny to change it. This car would make a fun "Driver" but for a restoration its not a good candidate thus the reason I sold it.
|
Whats it worth? And yes he said it needed heater core and A/C fixed.
Never sent me pics of the interior to show the roof. |
