went and looked at this today....

R/T with 5.7 Hemi, Trak-Pac, and sunroof. Deep Water Blue, black cloth-32k sticker......

Kowalski would be proud

What was the ADM on it?

They are nice....but huge in person. I saw my first one a few weeks ago at a store near my house.

The place here had 2700 ADM on the SE. Sticker, well equipped was 25k, then 2700 extra. But I may have a person who is a dealer....so, would happily pay sticker, but no ADM.
I fit real nice in it, and it is sort of big, but the rear is very sharp also, tail lights are very Thunderbird-esque........

Man I wish I could afford that!! Beautiful :2thumbs:

While I'm a Ford loyalist, Dodge did do a nice job on them. Having seen them in person my only complaint is how large it is.

Its a Porker

That thing is so heavy my Bullitt smoked it in 0-60 tests. I dont like the wheels either. Why put modern wheels on a retro car? Charlie

Is it ever going to be offered with a manual tranny? I wouldn't get an auto.

MOstang 08-31-2008 11:37 PM

Yes on the manual. I remember reading in the Detroit Free Press the Challenger would come in a manual for the 2nd year of production on the new model. They mentioned that "sometimes it pays to wait" in the case of the manual.

By the way, Charlie, congtats on the 2008 Bullitt. I liked it an awful lot when I saw it at the 08 Detroit International Auto Show. You couldn't get too close to it at the time, though. Have had the opportunity to see it up close since then and it really looks nice. I'm sure it's a fun car!

Actually the 6 speed manual is the way to go, it does away with the variable displacement aspect of the 5.7 hemi, all 8 are on all the time.

Thanks Mike They are close to end of their production at 7700. Anyone who wants one should act this year. Later I think they will be only available used.

Challenger

I think those vehicles are the closest to "retro" in terms of size from the late 60's Challenger, good or bad. The Camaro is also going to be a big hit, but the Challenger is hot.

You will be able to pick up a current R/T model in a couple of years in the early $20's and skip the ADM. A LOT of car for the $$$.

Have a great Labor Day weekend guys.
