Not all were that color but majority of the marked units were. What is the DSO number on the door tag? Better yet, just take a photo of the door tag to help verify what this car could have been.

nice work

NoDrama43 12-17-2011 10:02 PM

thanks...MOHP sent me a bunch of docs reference my car and the mustang program. They are a great group to work with.

FoxChassis 12-18-2011 02:49 AM

If there are 21 VINs and the first 17 are MO HP, I wonder what the last four are. There have been other batches of VINs with more than one DSO.

MOHP did not install roll bars in their mustangs.

1988 MOHP cars did not have spotlights installed either.

We've seen that before. Probably something that occurred when the cars were scheduled for production.

That spotlight might have been added. It looks like it's too high on the A pillar.

To my understanding and from the many pics I've viewed, the MSHP didn't outfit the 88's with spotlights, but who's to say whether a Trooper asked for something to be added along the way. Missouri state law doesn't (or at least didn't) allow the MSHP to sell their vehicles to civilians...it had to be other State agencies. As a result many (or most) of their SSPs eneded up going ot other police departments. Among the many possibilities is also the spotlight was added later by another department.

MOHP did not install spotlights on the 1988 mustangs. I was in federal court all day and have to return tomorrow but I will try to find the pics I have of all 17 of them on the evoc track. None of them have spotlights.

congrats as they are rare. I will send you a PM later this evening after I get home with the contact information you will need for the MOHP. If you contact them they will probably put together a packet of information for you regarding your car and the MOHP mustang program.
