Hello to all.. Found this car and trying to research it... It seems to have an interesting history being that it was ordered as a TEST VEHICLE for Ford according to the Marti report..

Welcome to our forum! Thanks for posting a picture. Can you post up a copy of your Marti Report? We will add your SSP to our VIN Project (the link is on the right side of our main page).

Also ran a CarFax on it today.. Found that it was in Ford's hands for 4 years.. They didnt sell it until 1996...and it had 1,600 miles on it then.. Crazy.

Thanks for posting up a picture of your Marti Report. You were smart to buy the Deluxe version because it included the test vehicle information that may not have been listed in the Standard version. I went ahead and added your car to our VIN Project:

If you end up with a better picture of the Marti Report, post it up and I will replace the present one. Also, if you have pictures of the VIN label and Buck Tags we can add them to the page for your car. That's a nice find! :)

TWOCARNUTS 11-15-2012 05:35 PM

Will do on the buck tags and door data tag.. thanks for including me in the site..

Nice looking car. Looks like you are a little of a Foxbody Mustang nut. I see that nice looking yellow 'vert in the garage and the GT hatch in you icon pic. Thanks for posting.

I'm always amazed at what pops up in my town. I like to drive around on my lunch hour and "mustang hunt". LOL! My fiance thinks I'm crazy.

You car is coming along great! Love the color, by the way.

I don't know the answer to how many, so just asking as I'm curious where the number is derived. What is your 628 SSPs for 1993 number mentioned above based upon? Thank you!

TWOCARNUTS 03-13-2013 07:45 PM

I found those posted on line as well as in Sesslers "Mustang Red Book" which has production numbers in it..

TWOCARNUTS 03-13-2013 07:47 PM

Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords also published the info..November 2010 issue.

TWOCARNUTS 04-05-2013 09:46 PM

It is...the gang at Straightline are tearing it up...

MOstang 04-05-2013 09:47 PM

Have you used them before? And do they do a lot of this sort of thing with collector type cars? This sort of work isn't something every body shop is interested to take on. Thanks.

TWOCARNUTS 04-07-2013 09:40 AM

I have used them before...they did my 93 Yellow Feature 7 years ago...they dont do a bunch of "Resortation" projects mostly late model and new fixes. But they have a state of the art facility and probably handle 2 or 3 major resto's a year.....
