I thought I had included this pic earlier in this thread. This is the way they were when I first seen them, Caprice;LTD; and BMW still sit this way... The last pic posted has three of the cars in it.

The 10holes look really bad on this car also. Does anyone have either a nice set to donate or a decent set to have refinished? We could just refinish the ones on the car but that leaves me with no way of moving her around...
Thanks...

Bobby I am getting ready to put the 85 on the rotisserie and will have 4 donut spares that you could put on the GSP car to move it around the shop. Let me know if something like that would work. Sending you a PM.

Here are some more photos of 1235 from Alex Ginzburg's collection. Thought I would post them up for all to see.

I believe many of items on the wish list that have not yet been pledged are available as reproductions. Would reproduction parts be acceptable if NOS is not available?

Unmrkd 09-09-2013 09:12 AM

Jim, I have wheels/tires to use in the paint shop but thanks for offering them up. This way we don't have to deal with shipping.
I sent Bobby a PM.

As far as the reproduction parts are concerned - if they are good quality, they are most welcome. Beggars can't be choosers. It's important to remember that this project is not a 1000 point show car. The effort is to provide the GSP a safe, reliable, vehicle with quality appearance for PR/Parades etc. Of course we want it to be as good as possible. With limited resources (Bobby and I are not made of money) that is our challenge.

As always we appreciate everyone's interest and pledges. The car is still to be released to the body shop. Once that happens we will start actual part gathering and I will PM each pledge doner with a shipping address.

Thanks everyone - we look forward to a great outcome.
