Those look really great. Got one of the numbers? I guess I should have asked for that in my original post.

Font is the same, but the black outline on the numbers is a little different. The STATE PATROL looks a little thicker as well. I'm not 100% if mine was PATROL or TROOPER; I have pics of both.

Tpr David Harper drove my car...and I have talked with him (he sent me pics of the car, as did Ron). The other Tpr was Dennie Hancock. David reached out to Hancock for me but didn't have much luck.

I would have really liked to make the show...glad you got to go.

Looks like you had a great time Hector. Car is looking good too. How often does the CSP have this show?

Hector, your CSP is coming along VERY nicely! Thanks for the pics.

Bringing up this old thread again because I am sending my letter to CSP in the morning. Hoping to get my permission letter, decals, and contact information for the trooper that was assigned to my car. :)

Hector those decals look great. Thanks for getting it accomplished for us CSP owners.

NP , Jim.

Glad to hear your letter is being sent off, CSP is GREAT to work with!
My earlier work should save you guys about $200 on the decals and MUCH faster to get them...The permission comes along a bit quicker too.
It's all good!

I don't know about all the permission letters but mine states magnetic only.

A very special thanks to the Colorado State Patrol for their help !!!!!!!!!:2thumbs:

Didn't take the Major long. I already have a response from him with some paperwork attachments to fill out for the Colonel to sign off on. CSP is one of the best agencies I have ever dealt with in this hobby.

ImEvil1 04-24-2011 11:26 PM

He is a nice guy...but he sent you this on a Sunday??

NoDrama43 04-24-2011 11:29 PM

yes he did. he probably gets his work email on his smart phone like I do.

ImEvil1 04-24-2011 11:32 PM

Wow. He was nice to respond to you on Easter Sunday!

WOW...great experiences. The Missouri State Highway Patrol has been very gracious to work with as well. Sent my letter off to the Michigan State Police 3 weeks ago to request an updated one to replace the letter issued to EvocBruce. Keeping my fingers they'll fulfill my request.

Whoa! My '83 GL hatchback had those exact hub caps! It was missing one so I got rid of the remaining three. If I only knew... That was almost twenty years ago.

NoDrama43 07-18-2011 10:27 PM

Got my permission letter today, along with the contact number for decals from the original supplier.

awesome stuff ! :)

Wolfe1013 07-19-2011 10:18 PM

Congrats, Jim. It won't be long now...
