I removed the battery tray today
cleaned up the frame rail area that the two
Bumps fit down into.
Ford Part number seen on the tray is
D9ZB-10748

At this time I am not sure if i will go with the original
replacement tray ?
I have seen other part numbers for this tray
but they all begin the the engineering code (D9) OR 79
so I don't think that it has been Re engineered?

I have found a substitute tray (Plastic) and only six dollars
Had to use a small piece of hardwood to lay down in the
frame rail where the bumps in the original tray would sit
and an aluminum strip that runs the length of the inner fender
that secures the tray. I was able to use the existing holes
so NO modifications were made to the car. If i ever find
a good original in a salvage yard
it would be a quick conversion
back to stock.
With battery in place you would not know
that the tray was from Auto zone
Lynx. battery tray UPC: 083996002050
