with a friend that told me about a car that was for sale that i thought was long gone and i did buy that car. Had a friend in from Boise (Mustang Mark) and we attended BJ on Tuesday and Thursday and this off the hook car show in Scottsdale on the Saturday he arrived and the Saturday before he flew back to Boise http://www.rockandrollcarshow.com Mark my wife and i were on the lookout at the auction for Mustangs and in particular Fox body cars and we did not see much.An occasional convertible and SVO but no SSP cars not even a suspect coupe! at a Friday Night cruse in on the West side of town we seen the most Fox cars of the entire week including a 93 non SSP coupe The media here reported record sales and attendance at Barrett Jackson but to me it did not seem as energy charged as it had in the past. Mustang Mark had a great time i think he probably seen more collector cars in the week he was here than he has seen in his 60 years on earth. It's a bucket list item for sure:yes: . |
That looks like a really nice show, Andy. I wish our local cruise/show happened every weekend. Ours is only one weekend a month during the warmer months. Glad to hear you all had a good time!

Thanks.....we did I was thinking about putting something together next year for .net visitors to Arizona Barrett Jackson was not the only Auction in town. we have Allot a great car shows And plenty of stuff to do and see here. and especially nice to visit here if your coming from the cold country. bring the wife and or girlfriend or the wife and girlfriend (as long as the wife doesn't mind) People watching is also interesting at the auctions. It's fun to see how the elite (in their own minds) tend to look down at you as a spectator. They think that if your not wearing A bidders pass on a lanyard around your neck that you are from the un washed group AKA Just A spectator. I do that one better. I get in for Free AND bring friends in with me! |

Internet bids and third party proxy bids. Nothing like electronic push button bidding existed back then. If you wanted the dam car you were up on the ramp making sure you were seen and heard! and after a good fight the audience would sometimes applaud also allot a phony cars that are groomed for the sale. AKA tribute cars no past no hart no soul. |
clown cars are everywhere these days and the sellers try to hype them and ask big money. Unfortunate but part of the game today.
