Got around to putting engine on stand. I knew engine had been replaced but I ran the numbers which are M 176505. This engine is from a 1991 GSP mustang from the batch of 91 cars ordered by the GSP. This car was purchased from the state by a big dealer of these cars in Cleveland Ga. So evidently the guy that bought this car from them blew the engine and came back to the for a replacement engine. A good friend of mine just purchased the remains of the only two GSP's they had left after all these years. They had been out back since purchased from State auction (both were wrecked in service). One was a ACE car and had 17 Lightning bolts on the doors :-) But i mentioned all this to say I looks like 1FACP40E2MF176505 a 1991 GSP was wrecked in service and parted out long ago :-(
At least the engine ended back up in another GSP car! While I'd prefer to have the original engine I guess this would be the next best thing...

Yep, if it had to be replaced....the very next best thing from original doesn't get much better than another GSP motor!!

What would have been even cooler would have been if they (the dealers) would have still had THAT 91 body out back:-)
